If it’s seafood you’re after, Spondivits will not disappoint. Renowned for its world-famous fried seafood, you can indulge in a delightful assortment of dishes, from crispy fried shrimp that are juicy on the inside to plump fried oysters, perfectly battered and served alongside tangy tartar sauce. The fried chicken fingers are a quirky addition, and while chickens don’t have fingers, you'll certainly want to dip these in honey mustard sauce.
For those craving a more refined touch, the King Crab Cocktail is a must-try. Served hot or cold, this dish showcases the essence of seafood with its tender crab meat complemented by drawn butter. The Peel N Eat Shrimp and freshly shucked oysters guarantee a refreshing burst of flavor.
A visit wouldn’t be complete without diving into their soups. For those with a bit of a spice craving, the World’s Greatest File Gumbo combines a medley of lobster, oysters, shrimp, and andouille sausage, delivering a robust flavor experience complemented by garlic bread and yellow rice.
While the atmosphere may lean slightly toward a “hole-in-the-wall” vibe, the seafood truly shines, defying expectations with its quality and abundance. Customers rave about the generous portion sizes—buckets of crab legs that could serve two or three. It’s an indulgence you won't regret, especially paired with just the right seasoning and melted butter.
Of course, no experience is complete without a shout-out to the attentive staff. From quick service to friendly banter, the bartenders and servers ensure your dining experience runs smoothly, even if it gets a tad noisy. They work hard to create an inviting environment that feels more like a seafood lovers' clubhouse than just a restaurant. Just a heads-up: be mindful of the 4% surcharge on card payments, a quirk that might surprise the uninitiated.

I got the crab legs! They were very tasty and it was way more than I can eat! The service was ok... waitress didn't come back until I was ready to leave but overall, it was good.

We made a stop at Spondivits last night after the Raheem DeVaughn and Music Soulchild concert. We were seated immediately upon walking in with no wait! It was late, like after 11:00 pm when we arrived so this was great because I was famished. Our waiter, George was super pleasant and attentive. The food was fresh and yummy. We both got hot wings and fries. We also took food to go for the next day. Might as well make the most of the visit while we're here. Beware of the 4% surcharge on orders paid with credit or debit cards, yikes! Shout out to George for his phenomenal service!

This is a pretty amazing seafood place that I say specializes in crab legs... they do more than this but the buckets full of crab is gosh darn amazing! The place its self is a bit hole in the wall... dark, tight, big bar and certainly not a place you would expect to get seafood like this in! When you get here the parking is almost non existent. Drive around to the back of the McDs next door and you'll see a sign for parking for Spondivits. You go down a little alley and voila parking. It might seem a bit sketchy, but pay the man to park your car and everything will be good! Like I said the outside and inside has a hole in the wall vibe 100%. The staff are bar type strong and full of personality. (This is not a bad thing at all) however the seafood is outstanding. They do have a strange policy of any meal over $50 gets an added fee. This to me was ridiculous... I mean there is barely any one meal under $50 and then at the end they still expect a tip! Be careful when you get your bill... the "service fee" will already be added. When I got my bucket of snow crab I got 6 bunches of legs. You might see the prices and be like wow that is expensive but honestly it was cheap for what I got! There was way more than I could eat. I could have fed two or three people with this one order. The snow crab was ooooohhhh my Goddie way too hottie!! basically it was to die for! Sooooo freaking good! You have to come here for the crab.. great seasoning, melted butter, and more than I could eat! All in all I would come again. Even with the goofy service fee... it was that good... it is loud in here so conversation is not easy without yelling. Try it... it is well worth it!

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the lobster and crab. Spondivits takes pride in sourcing the freshest seafood, and it shows in every bite. The lobster was cooked to perfection, with a tender and juicy texture that melted in my mouth. What time is it? I am getting this food after a long day of travel after everything around is closed. Bartenders on point. Bar is bold enough to be low key fun.

I've been to this establishment a few times ans have always had a great experience. The drinks are good and the food is gooder. lol. I prefer sitting at the bar for better and faster service. Not sure if you all are aware but Spondivits has GREAT burgers. I ordered the "Spondivits Custom Blackened Burger" cooked medium well and it was sooooo good!!!
